I desperately want to get over this guy ive liked for quite a while. rebound is not an option and I don't wanna hibernate either. how can i cope with this without wallowing in self-pity and depression?Things you do to fall OUT of love with someone with whom there's no future?

Simple, you realize you are better off without them, and keep telling yourself that one day you will be with the perfect person for you. I would not bother looking for guys to date, I would try to do whatever it is you want to do that makes you, yourself, happy. Any activity you've always wanted to try, but haven't yet? Get involved in things, and just do things that you enjoy. I believe things will happen when they are meant to. In the meantime, don't waste time you could be using to enjoy yourself.
Get yourself a new attitude (new outfit, hair do, something) and get yourself a new guy. Even if there is possibly no future in this guy he can wine and dine you until your over the old guy. It is not fair but it works. What ever you chose to do, Good Luck!
be proud of who you are . Go out with the girls and have fun. you dont need a man to be happy. the sooner you go out and enjoy the life the sooner you will realize that. dont wallow it only makes you unhealthy and unhappy. spend time with your family and friends. take a dance class or something . make yourself busty and have fun.
