How do you fall OUT of love with someone?

I only ask cos it's soooo easy to fall in love with someone, but falling out of love can take years, or you never ever stop loving them.How do you fall OUT of love with someone?
If it's love you could never stop loving them... Unfortunately :P

I fell out of love with my girlfriend and she fell out of love with me. But we probably didn't notice it when it happened and continued our relationship for a good while afterwards. I think it is because you become best friends. Even better than your best (non partner) friend.





I bet you have told him stuff that noone knows and he has told you the same. That bond is hard to break. But love, love is fleeting it comes and goes I seriously think boredom and changes in life goals pulls you apart.





You wake up one morning and think, why am I in this relationship? Then your partner kisses you on the noes and says wake up sleepy head and says I am gonna make you brekkie. And then you realise, it's companionship. It's an avoidance of lonliness and a lack of security.



I am going through a similar situation presently. Best way, like the previous poster stated, is to block them out. I removed this person from my phone, all social networking websites, and email accounts. There is no possible way for them to contact me, which makes it both easier and harder. It's very tempting to try and let them back in, but it will get easier from here....
just try to block them out. if you start thinking of them, block it out. if you see them go somewhere else.


but one really good thing to do it make a good-riddance list. list all his/her foibles, their flaws. ie: 1. Chews with his mouth open 2. Wears his pants too low 3. Never does his homework 4. Is obnoxious and rude to women


it can be stupid things, it can be tiny little things, it can be anything. it doesnt even have to be something that annoys you, but might annoy someone else. make the list and whenever youre thinking about them pull it out. read it and believe it, honey.
I know its hard but try and limit and then completely stop thinking about them. Try and brainwash yourself into thinking of them what you think of everyone else. Thats what i do. : ]
