I don't even understand how you're still in love with him after all of that. Do you just love him for his looks? Because it sure doesn't sound like you love his personality.
Honey, love is forever.
You'll always have loving feelings toward him. You just have to remember that he cannot show you the love you need. Without that, there can be no relationship, and without a relationship, you being with him is only going to lead to pain. In fact, without that relationship, even being around him is going to cause you pain. You can blame him if you want, but he's not going to change into the man you need him to be.
You know this, because you've tried, and failed. I'm sorry to be blunt about this, but I wish someone had told me the same thing this clearly before I'd wasted so much effort.
Once you get away from him, you'll see. There are lots of people you love that you cannot be in a relationship with, because there are different kinds of love. Maybe some day you'll even be able to love him in a different way, where he won't be able to hurt you. but for now, just stay away. There are a lot of other feelings besides just love that are turning you into his slave. Until you get rid of those feelings, it's unhealthy to even think about him.
